Pages from the earlier English Saab 900 loose-leaf Service Manual. It is set in a typewriter-style face with bold sans headings and the page number at the foot, without the later 'Saab 900' footer. Technical data covers identification and chassis numbers, gear ratios and road speeds 1979-88, and suspension data. The biggest part is the transmission: clutch, the complete 5-speed gearbox overhaul 430/471, the 473 final drive, the 432 gear lever and lock, and the 440 automatic fault diagnosis. Other sections: 340 ignition and distributor, 371 fuses and full wiring diagrams (USA 1980, Turbo 1983), 391 cruise control, 521/523/551 brakes, front springs, and body sections 810, 830, 843, 853 and 854.
