Introduction
The time list is devided into the following main groups:
1 Service
2 Engine
3 Electrical system, lighting, instruments
4 Power transmission
5 Brakes
6 Front assembly, steering
7 Suspension, rear axle, wheels
8 Body, air 9 system,
9 Accessories
The main groups are divided into sub-groups.
Example: Group 5, Brakes, includes
516 Brake discs
517 Brake pads
Sub-group + 2-digit serial number = OBJECT CODE
Extent of work
Normally all necessary work is included in the list times. Exceptions from this are marked in columns F and
G on the table page.
Time is not included for.

The object codes are in numerical order. Whenever several object codes have the same work
content and time, they are listed below one another (between two dotteo 3). These codes
are not related to any specific line in column B, and can be combined with any of the lines.

Column E QUANTITY
Number of parts for which the time is allowed. No quantity entry = 1 part.
Column F REMOVED PART/WORK PERFORMED
It an object code is specified in this column, the time for it must be added to the time for the
actual work, unless the part has already been removed.
Column G WORK INVOLVED
The work for which the time is allowed is entered here.
Example: 1 denotes replace
5 denotes adjust
It two figures are entered on the same line, the time allowed refers to either of the jobs.
A dash (-) denotes that a job which is normally included in the main job is not included in this
particular case.
Column H TIME
The time is specified in hours.
9.1 hour = 10 periods = 6 min
Additional work:
The time for additional equipment which is not standard equipment will be located directly after the last
object code on the corresponding page, below a solid line. A as well as op quip’ are
included here.
However, for practical reasons, the time tor op quip may be included in the time for the main job.
This is marked in column C.

Example 1 - To replace the headiamp lens on the Saab 900 M94
- The headiamps are under the tag for the electrical system (Group 3).
- The number of the headlamp is 351.
- Turn to illustration No, 351-A.
- The object code of the headlamp lens is 351 25.
- The time specified on the table page for rep of the lens is 0.2 hours. (Id No. 1)
- The entry in column D is 3/4, which indicates either the left-hand or right-hand lens (see the list of ab-
breviations on page 2).
- In addition, column G is marked with a dash at 05 and OR. This denotes that adjustment and checking
are not included in the time for replacing the headlamp lens.
- To obtain the total time, the time for adjustment must be added.
~ The object code for the headlamp assembly is 351 10 (Id No. 02), and the time for adjustment is
0.2 hours.
- The total time for rep of the lens + adj will thus be 0.2 + 0.2 hours
= 0.4 hours.
