This spare parts catalogue is valid for Saab 99, year models 1969-1973. The
catalogue is divided into groups 0-10. Group O includes General, Numerical
index and Complete sets, group 1 includes Tools i.e. special tools intended for
maintenance and repair work. In addition, group 10 Miscellaneous, is
included. The catalogue is divided into groups according to recommendations
given by the Swedish Automobile Servicing and Retailing Employers'
Association in respect of spare parts catalogues, workshop manuals, etc. On
the following pages you will find further information about the handling and
the usage of this catalogue.
The order number for this catalogue is for the printed edition 175414 and the
corresponding number for the microfiche edition is 400002. The catalogue is
kept up-to-date in respect of amendments and corrections by means of
additional and replacement pages. When necessary special "Spare Parts
Information" will be sent out.

Structure and usage of the catalogue
1.
Usage
The extensiveness of each Group is shown on the page "Group Register" and in the "Table
of Contents" placed first in each Group.
If one knows where a parts is located in the car and wants to know its spare parts number, one
should turn to the Table of Contents of that Group where the part ought to be found. The
Table of Contents will guide more precisely about in which section of the Group the part may
be located.
However, does one know the spare parts number of a part and wants to know on which part
of the car the part is located, one should turn to the Numerical Register. The register refers to
Group and page within the Group and furthermore the microfiche coordinate on which the
spare part is listed.

Page numbering
Only the text pages of the catalogue have numbers.

Position numbers
The number refer to the figure.
4.
Part number
The number shall always be stated when ordering.
5.
Quantity column
The column indicates the quantity for one car.
6.
Language
The catalogue is bi-lingual - English-Swedish. Sheets "Introducing", "Directions" and" Table of
contents" can also be read on spanish, german and trench.

If a part is included in a major unit this is shown in the way that the sub-component is moved one
step to the right. When ordering a major unit the sub-components are included. See the example below.

The column can contain remarks of different kinds. The lower portion of the text pages is intended
for remarks, and in the first place for such remarks which require large writing space but also for remarks which varies for different positions on one and the same page. The remark text is only given
in English.
In some cases a part number can occur put in paranthesis, e.g. (83 77 988). This means that the part
has been deleted or superseded by a new one with an other part number in the part number column.
Note! Spare part in paranthesis ( ) can occur on other place in the catalogue, specially is this valid if
the spare part is of the standard type.

The catalogue takes up spare parts for the Saab 99 L, 2-door version, if nothing else is stated. In cases
when the spare part is valid for a special variant or version, this is mentioned in the remarks column,
